Dawna Buena

Dawna Buena is a geometrically constructed font. The construction of individual characters consists of ellipses and three stroke thicknesses, where the contrast between the widest and thinnest stroke is specific to the font. It is best used in larger headings or texts. The font supports a large number of European languages. It was named after the songs of the band Morphine. The band limited their work to using only three instruments: slide-bass, saxophone and drums, which makes the music sound industrial and elegant at the same time, and this contrast also inspired the contrasting width of the strokes and the overall aesthetics of the font.
